The high strength, natural look, and moisture resistance make it a good choice of rope for handrails for rope railings or bridges. The color is a natural tan/light brown to simulate natural manila fiber.This 1-1/8″ rope is rated at 30,150 lbs when new. It should be expected to last over 10 years outside, although if conditions are moist or if subjected to constant & direct UV, the strength can be reduced further. No testing has been done to establish a baseline for how long rope can be left in trees year round.

Measuring: When ordering, keep in mind that a thick rope like this will take extra material for knots. A bowline takes about 3-4 feet, and a simple overhand knot takes about 1 foot. Our bridge kits come with 4′ extra on each side.
